FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index

We announce we have been included in the FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index.  

 

Created by the global index and data provider FTSE Russell, the FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index is designed as an industry neutral benchmark that reflects the performance of companies demonstrating specific Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices in Japan.  

 

FTSE Russell evaluations are based on performance in areas such as Corporate Governance, Health & Safety, Anti-Corruption and Climate Change.  Businesses included in the FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index meet a variety of environmental, social and governance criteria.

FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index

We announce we have been included in the FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index.    

 

The FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index is designed as a sector neutral benchmark that reflects the performance of companies demonstrating specific Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices in Japan. The index selects companies with higher ESG Ratings within the top 50% of each sector and supports climate transition to a low carbon economy by evaluating companies’ climate governance and climate change efforts via the Transition Pathway Initiative’s Management Quality Score. 

S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index


S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index is designed to measure the performance of companies in the Tokyo Stock Price Index (TOPIX),  while overweighting or underweighting those companies that have lower or higher levels of carbon emissions per unit of revenue. This index is one of the benchmarks used by the General Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), which manages public pension funds, for ESG investment management.

JPX-Nikkei Index 400

The JPX-Nikkei Index 400 is composed of companies with high appeal for investors, which meet requirements of global investment standards, such as efficient use of capital and investor-focused management perspectives. The index is jointly calculated and published by JPX Market Innovation & Research and Nikkei.

JPX-Nikkei Mid and Small Cap Index

The JPX-Nikkei Mid and Small Cap Index is comprised of companies with middle and small market capitalization that are selected based on the same concept as JPX-Nikkei Index 400 and appealing to shareholders and aim at sustainably increasing corporate value. The index is jointly calculated and published by JPX Market Innovation & Research and Nikkei.

Company with Excellent Health Management “Silver Certification”

We declared its commitment to promoting employee health by making the “Declaration of a Healthy Company” in June 2024. As a result of our proactive efforts in health promotion, we were certified as a “Company with Excellent Health Management” and received the “Silver Certification” from the Tokyo Federation of Health Insurance Societies as of August 1, 2025

Top Supplier of the Year in 2024

We are pleased to announce that the Company was commended by ROGESA Roheisen- und Rohstoffgesellschaft Saar mbH, a major German steel company headquartered in Dillingen, Saarland, Germany, as “Top Supplier of the Year in 2024,” and received the award.


In the execution of its contracts with ROGESA, the Company was highly evaluated in three areas: Sustainability (transportation using vessels with low environmental impact), Flexibility (adjustment of vessel allocation schedules to meet customer needs), and OTIF (On Time In Full, an indicator measuring the ability to deliver the full volume accurately by the customer-designated delivery date). Going forward, the Company will continue to pursue sustainable and flexible vessel operations, with the highest priority placed on safe navigation.

Best Quality Ship Award

The bulk carrier, NSU ULTIMATE owned, operated, and managed by the NS United Kaiun, was awarded for the "Best Quality Ship Award 2023" by the Japan Federation of Pilots’ Associations (JFPA). The criterion of selection were safety awareness of crew members, smooth onboard communication and chain of command, cooperative system to the pilot, navigational facilities, embarkation/disembarkation equipment, and they were comprehensively evaluated.
